What attracted you to be a part of Muscles in Motion?  Muscles in Motion opened in June 2007 with busy people in mind. We understand there are lots of ways to workout, and lots of ways to get results, but I wanted a place where everyone could get a great workout, have incredible results, but not have to compromise their joints, spine, knees etc. With our Muscles in Motion methods, that are based in science/bio-mechanics, we know that we will have you feeling wonderfully strong in a short amount of time.

What kind of contribution do you feel like you’re making to people’s health?  Just look at any of our clients and you can see the difference. Some are playing more golf, some are playing better, some are carrying their own luggage for the first time in years, others have more energy, some are helio-skiing, dancing and playing better basketball & golf. What they all have in common is enjoying a higher quality of life.

What personal goal for the future do you want to share with us? As an owner, I want to provide jobs to those in the community. When you meet our staff you’ll see service minded people who put the clients first. We are proud of our team members from the Front Desk Associates, to our Personal Trainers. Come in for a workout and you’ll see it too.

Interests: Sports, including martial arts, running, obstacle course races and football (GO SEAHAWKS!). I also enjoy music and reading, and most of all, spending time with my family.

What attracted you to work at MIM? When I was beginning my career in the field of Personal Training, I figured I would have to “learn the ropes” at a large box gym, and work my way up to somewhere that placed its value on the importance of the client, not the price the client pays. I was blown away from my very first interactions with MIM. The customer service alone made me know this was the place I had to be, and as I continued to learn about strength training, I knew this was the right fit. I feel very lucky that I had the opportunity to start my career at the place where I had originally hoped to end up.

What kind of contribution do you feel you’re making to people’s health? The more I’ve learned about strength training, the more I realize that everyone should be doing it in their own capacity. I’ve learned that there are no non-responders to this style of training. As such, I’m driven by the notion that I am helping people live the lives they desire, and feel healthy doing it. Wether its people looking to prepare or recover from a surgery, setting an athletic goal they never thought they’d achieve, or age gracefully and feel better in their busy daily lives as parents or grandparents, I’m inspired by the opportunity to be of service.

What personal goal for the future do you want to share with us? I want to continue to learn about the field of Health and Fitness so I can continue to aid people in their own journey of well being.

Interests: Running, Soccer (Juventus), and Basketball (Trail Blazers). I also enjoy listening to podcasts, and watching Netflix comedy specials.

What attracted you to work at Muscles in Motion? Coming out of college with an Exercise Science degree, I wanted to be able to work at a company that allowed me to not only apply my knowledge, but also continue to increase it. At Muscles in Motion, I was really impressed with the emphasis on evidence based workouts, as well as the focus on developing relationships with the clients. I could not think of a better place to start my career in this industry because although I am done with school, this company makes me strive to learn more.

What kind of contribution do you feel like you’re making to people’s health? In my opinion there are few things more satisfying than progress. Our bodies are incredibly sophisticated machines, often, however, we do not treat them as such, and as a result we leave behind a lot of unlocked potential. At Muscles in Motion, we strive to make small incremental changes that in the long run amount to huge progress. Guiding people through that journey, and being there to encourage them to push beyond what they think they are capable of is not only the biggest contribution I can make to their health, but it also a great privilege.

What personal goal for the future do you want to share with us? The biggest goal I have currently is to further my education with a doctorate degree in chiropractic care. That’s a little ways down the road though, and who knows what life has in store!

What attracted you to work at Muscles in Motion? I was attracted to Muscles in Motion because their team of well-educated trainers. Always surround myself with a team of people who are eager to learn, and that I can learn and grow from is something that is very important to me. I was also attracted to their training style, and their evidence-based practice approach. High intensity training is safe, efficient, and effective. I hope to help educate others on how beneficial this style of training can be on many aspects of their lives.

What kind of contribution do you feel like you’re making to people’s health? Having strength mentally and physically is very empowering for people and can allow them to continue to enjoy the activities of their daily lives. What attracted you to work at MIM? I love the community atmosphere and the challenge we place on our clients. Every day I want to help others realize what they are capable of, and specifically helping them realize how strong they are, and how strong they can be through High Intensity Training. Muscle is our longevity organ, so we all need to strive to grow strong and maintain as much muscle as we can.

Interests: One of my favorite things to do is cook (and eat, of course)! I also enjoy hiking, yoga, and exploring new parks with my dog.

What attracted you to work at Muscles in Motion? I was so excited about working at Muscles in Motion initially because of all of the positive and inspiring results from the clients. I have never experienced a more welcoming environment than at this gym. It is clear to see how much the trainers care for the clients and how knowledgeable everyone who works here is. I always strive to learn from the best and I knew this was the perfect place for that. I love being able to work for a company that truly puts the client and their health and safety first.

What kind of contribution do you feel like you’re making to people’s health? I have a lot of previous experience in the medical field and with hospice. Working in those environments I have seen the adverse effects from a lack of strength training. Maintaining a regular routine of strength training is essential, especially as we age, in order to continue doing even the simplest day to day activities. Using the high intensity training model is an excellent way to push our bodies to their maximum potential. It feels great to know that I am helping clients live their lives to their fullest, and proving that age is just a number. Also, at this gym clients experience what their body is truly capable of and that provides motivation to continue a healthy lifestyle in and out of the gym.

What personal goal for the future do you want to share with us? In the future I would love to continue to learn more about nutrition and to educate others about it. I hope to hold cooking classes for my community and inspire others to be comfortable and confident with every meal. My goal is to create a safe and fun environment for people who are new to the gym so that everyone has an equal opportunity to feel the same passion for health and exercise that I do. I love the idea of bringing my community together and hosting different fitness events to engage people of all levels.
